Still Been Busy - But It's Slowing Down Now

July and August are my two busiest months, all the last minute additions needed for events and trying to keep up with orders, some of which are done on short notice.  This blog was supposed to have one to two entries a week, but lately that's been impossible.   Just too busy.

 

But now Pennsic is done, Bristol Ren Faire is closing soon, the summer is almost over, and I can tone things back to just making cat toys now through December, before starting up again with the stuffed toys. 

 

Catnip has been picked, dried and boxed in the computer room. Two stacks floor to ceiling plus a few extra boxes stored upstairs and two in the living room.  Our cats don't even care about catnip anymore, they've been overloaded.  I forget what it does to pets, then I hear from someone who said 'my cat went apeshit!'  Um..ok!  LOL

 

The living room is a mess with piles of folded fabrics and fake furs, boxes of half done stuff sorted but not finished, and some unsorted finished stuff that still does need to go out.  It's a mess.

 

But with the slowdown I can now focus on taking decent pictures of the items, and can get back into drawing the cartoons I've been sketching but not finishing. Yeay!

Still Sewing

Requests for merchandise stock for Bristol Ren Faire are still coming in.  Baby owls, baby ravens, baby phoenixes, bat purses, 'normal' colored griffens (which means brown lion body with white fake fur heads like bald eagles).  They cleaned me out of most of the remaining cat toys too, took 110 of them. 

I never did get to making 3 eyed ravens yet, and I'm getting low on those safety lock eyes and need to put another order in.  50 eyes per package, means 25 toys with two eyes.  The packages don't go all that far.
