Got Two Monsters Made
Both the large Cthulhu and a tentacle monster are finished. I'm working on a smaller grey tentacle monster as well. And BOTH look really really nice.
A fellow sewer was over and took a look at the Cthulhu (I'd only had that one done at that point) and I asked her how much it was worth. She said "I'd like to buy it but I can't afford it'. She said $200 would be fair. That was over the price I had been considering. I need to get my mind out of the low end Midwest prices.
The Cthulhu took $12 worth of materials and was 1/2 hour machine sewing, 1 hour turning and stuffing, and 3 hours assembly and detailing.
The tentacle monster was a yard of fabric, about $$11 base cost (eyes, stuffing, fabric), 1/2 hour machine sewing as well, and 4 hours of detailing all the tentacles and tacking them on every square inch of space on the oval body. You can't see any of the base at all.
They were fun. Lots of work, but fun.
