No Cream Or Sugar

The chocolate dipped strawberries turned out fantastic as cat toys. I used a half yard of chocolate brown polar fleece, about 3/4 yard of red cotton with white dots on it, and some green felt for the leaves. They took longer to sew than the regular strawberries of course, but they look nicer.

I'm not sure how many the fabric made, they've still got to be finished with the leaves on the top, but I THINK I got 60 out of the fabric.

Time Flies

Here it is March already.

I got my merchant packet for Pennsic - there's been an increase in the admissions at the gate, so it'll cost us over $430 in 'fees' (vendor space, admission) to do it this year. Add in the trailer rental, over $230 in gas to drive there and back, $63 in tolls on the freeway system, food, etc. and it's getting pretty expensive. Oh, AND we have to have insurance coverage for the 11 day event too, that would be $50 if T.W. gets the group policy for us, or between $250 and $500 if I have to buy it online myself - since nobody in the phone book here OR my homeowners insurance will cover a 'special event' that's no on my physical premises at home. This will be our 15th year doing the event, and it keeps costing more and more.

But I did manage to get a vendor application for a pagan Easter celebration in 3 weeks - the Ostara event is only 6 hours long, over at the park, but it draws a good crowd of over 500. It's local and I'm looking forward to that. Booth space is $25. That's affordable.

However, there's still stock to be made. I have to focus focus FOCUS to get that going.
